circa now!

Broken branch on the family tree.

What are you looking at……….?

Sorry to everyone who turned up at Pony last week expecting to see Look Who’s Toxic. I was real fucking sick and there was no way I was gonna drag myself out of bed at 1 in the AM, hurl all my gear into the car in the freezing cold, get to Pony, load out 2 Km’s down the street and then up the narrowest stair case in the world, and then……..choke on the smoke of a thousand PJ extra mild’s. Seriously……If I could have been able to I would have, but I was hella sick. Rob’s other band Applecross played instead, and seeing as they made it out alive, it went pretty well.

Things have been pretty busy on the home-front…….Milo’s cutting more teeth (7 in total), and Rachael’s back at work full time. So Milo’s in childcare three days a week and  Rachael’s mum is looking after him for the other two days a week. He’s starting to yak away like madman, even though he’s not really saying a hell of a lot, he’s got “ba-bah”, and “mah, mah” down pretty good. He’s even working combo’s of the two like… “ba-bah-mah-ba”, and so on. He’s always got a smile going too, which is really cute, even if he hasn’t slept well, or his teeth hurt, he’s always smiling.

Music wise I haven’t really been listening to a lot. I’ve been pretty much wrapped up in the footy season, and this stupid world cup. I did pick up the new Pissed Jeans 7 inch on Sub Pop though, which is very awesome.  Also picked up a nice Rocket from the Crypt print by Coop for $10. Cool huh?

Why I might give up drinking……..

Hey gang

I've learned a lot about myself this week. I learned that when I'm drunk, some people can take my sense of humor the wrong way. So much so that people can decide that they HATE me. So o.k……point taken, maybe I can be come a little too overbearing with me attitude and humor. But still…if you can't take a joke….build a bridge people!. Also I made a poor choice later on that evening, that made me think I might not be as responsible and sensible as I thought I was. I decided that after 8 hours of sinking frothies with the lads, that i might just drive home….instead of catching the last train as planned. Now let me just say that I have always been one of the biggest critics of drink drivers, and have never ever even contemplated driving under the influence of frothies before. So it was quite a disappointing effort on my part. Anyway……..LWT are playing at the Green room this Friday night (Good Friday) at about 9:00. There's about 8 bands playing including Beanflipper (go Sean!), firewitch and Motor Vehicle Sundown. Also we will be donating our share of the taking to the Royal Children's Hospital – Good Friday Appeal. Don't forget to "……give that they may grow".

Later gators.

Why people hate me……

mix 007.jpg

Hey gang

The last week or so, Milo's been having trouble sleeping during the day. He has a few naps, but nothing you could call a good sleep. He still sleeps well at night…just not during the day, although the last couple of days he's been getting the hang of it.

The LWT Ep looks like it might actually see the light of day. The boys are mastering it on Wednesday night, and then it's off to the factory to get pressed. Hopefully it will be done for the launch on the 30th of April. We had a photo shoot on Saturday morning around the 3051 for the promo shots, and I can tell you we definitely don't take a good photo.

Another good win by the Bulldogs this week too. Melbourne looked good in the first half, but we gave them a good seeing to in the second. If we can win next week against Essendon, to make it three in a row, we'll be travelling pretty well for a September appearance….maybe. I've upgraded to a social club membership to guarantee me a GF ticket….Just in case. I'm not getting too confident too early, I'm just covering myself.

Listening to: Treepeople – Actual re-enactment. (Better than "with Doug" albums).

“Hi Terry….Hi Nathan, want to come to our football clinic?”

grif.jpg

WESTERN BULLDOGS: 6.4, 9.11, 18.13, 25.17 (167)
RICHMOND: 3.2, 5.6, 6.6, 7.10 (52)

Well….we ripped Richmond a new arsehole. And jeez it felt good.

Friday night was one one of those nights you relish as a football fan. What was great about Friday night, was that we were able to completely finish them off in such a brutal fashion. The Bulldogs of a year or two ago, would have let it slip a little, and let them get back into the game. I wouldv'e paid a fair bit of cash to see the disappointment on Nathan Brown and Terry Wallace's faces after the game. It's not that I'm bitter that they left so much, it's more the lack of faith they showed in our club. For that, they will always be…….Fucking losers. But the boys and I had a great night, Craig was enjoying his 28th birthday by becoming drunker than Irish sailor on shore leave, by the time we left TD, he was slurring like a stroke victim and dancing like a fool. I left the birthday celebrations and went home to be the good father that I am.

I hope you break your fucking leg again Judas.

Wooohoo!

Footy season starts this Friday (for Bulldog fans anyway), and I can hardly wait. We open the season against those scum sucking pieces of filth…Richmond. And I'd really love to see that fucking little ass-pumper Nathan Brown break that gammy fucking leg of his again…..And I know what your gonna say.."Jeez man, that's a bit harsh", well maybe it is. But I'm from the old school kid, and team loyalty is everything as far as I'm concerned….so fuck him!.

It's also Craig's birthday, so dont forget to give props and show the big fella some respeck!……peace out.
